8,150 volunteers of all ages and from all sectors participated in the various tasks, including home visits with the elderly and disabled children, assistance in nursing homes, activities and chaperoning children in shelters for abused women, operating day cares for the children of doctors so as to allow the ongoing operation of clinics, activities in the assisted living facilities for mildly mentally retarded wards, cleaning and clearing bomb shelters, focused assistance in special needs education institutions and youth clubs, assistance in daycares and day camps, activities in the bomb shelters, food distribution and providing response for basic needs, and more.
