As described by Aryeh and Tehila, One Heart volunteers: “In between bomb alerts, we're walking around Kiryat Malachi with musical instruments, on the way to another bomb shelter. All of a sudden we hear a lady, about 65 years old, calling us from her balcony, a typical "Moroccan grandmother" with her daughters and granddaughters. She wants us to get festive and calls all the neighbors. So we immediately start playing soulful Israeli songs, and suddenly find ourselves in the middle of this huge party, with neighbors beginning to show up following the noise and joining the soirée.
The event's "initiator" wipes the tears from her eyes, covers her face and whispers, "You don't even know what this means to me, you're like a miracle out of nowhere…" Someone brings a huge speaker and two microphones, the thing turns into a karaoke party, and the woman brings out food and drink as far as the eye can see.
After an hour and a half of heartwarming brotherly festivities, we move on to our next stop…"
